American Elite Wrestling Camps will hold its fourth annual wrestling camp June 15-18 at Del Oro High in Loomis. Mike Zadick, a member of the 2008 US Olympic team, and two-time NCAA Champion Mark Perry will return as featured clinicians at the four-day camp. Programs are designed for wrestlers of all ages and skill levels. Registration is available on-line at www.americanelitewrestling.com or at the door beginning at 7:30 a.m. on June 15. The cost is $225 per wrestler with discounts for groups. In addition to Zadick and Perry, the camp staff features other former University of Iowa Hawkeye wrestlers. Camp Director Gabe Ruhkala is a Loomis native and wrestled for Del Oro, Sierra College and the Hawkeyes. “I see this as an opportunity for local kids to learn from some of the best wrestlers out there,” Ruhkala says. “It’s a pretty unique opportunity to have guys of this caliber come and teach kids right here in the Sacramento area.” For more information on group rates, scholarship opportunities, or other questions, contact Ruhkala at 316-3248 or at gabe@americanelitewrestling.com.
