AUBURN _ John Parker of Rocklin chose the perfect time to hit a hole-in-one. Parker, a member of the Foresthill Golf Club, won the Hole-in-One contest at Placer Sierra Realty’s Gold Country Open on Saturday at Black Oak Golf Course. For his feat in the event that was open to the public, Parker won $10,000. “This is the first time in the (sixth year of the) annual event that someone has won the $10K Hole-in-One,” said Bob Sanchez, owner and broker of Placer Sierra Realty. Parker connected on the 185-yard hole No. 7. Parker said he used a 4-iron. The event benefits the Foresthill High School golf team, coached by Terry Fisher, and the Placer High School girls golf team, coached by Carol French. Ray Hetu of Orangevale won the men’s division at the open and Karen Christensen of Auburn was the champion of the women’s division.
