Placer County Sheriff's detectives on Tuesday announced the arrest of the man wanted in connection with two armed robberies at Loomis and Penryn businesses.
Dena Erwin, Placer Country Sheriff’s Office spokesperson, said a tip from the public resulted in the arrest.
She said Dwayne Deshawn Hargo, 30, of Penryn, was booked at the Placer County Jail today on Feb. 5 on two counts of armed robbery.
A surveillance photo from one of the robberies was released by the Sheriff's Office last week, which she said was instrumental in Hargo's arrest. Hargo is charged with robbing Star Liquor in Loomis on Jan. 16 and the Penryn Valero gas station on Jan. 18.
His bail is set at $ 100,000.
In the two incidents the suspect was described as a man, possibly  Hispanic, between 5 foot 6 inches and 5 foot 8 inches tall, in his mid 20s who robbed the businesses at gunpoint and fled on foot.
