Pep rally celebrates academic achievements
Granite Oaks students recognized for hard work
Granite Oaks seventh- and eighth-grade students attended fast-paced, high-energy, 45-minute celebrations of the students’ academic accomplishments, including a Jeopardy-style game. Seventh- and eight-grade academies competed in individual events for fun and prestige during last Friday's rallies. Granite Oaks Middle School has an impressive 73 percent of the student body earning a position on the honor roll this year, noted Principal Jay Holmes. Additionally, 381 students received awards for meeting their Accelerated Reading goals and 131 outstanding achievement awards were given to students for their exceptional work in the core curricular and elective areas.
