Pet microchip clinics offered on first Saturday of the month

-A +A
The Friends of Placer County Animal Shelter make it easy for locals to microchip their pets. The first Saturday of every month Friends of Placer County Animal Shelter will sponsor a microchip clinic at Diamond in the Ruff Pet Spa at 845 Twelve Bridges Drive No. 120 in Lincoln. To contact Diamond in the Ruff Pet Spa, call 543-4670. The first Sunday of every month, clinics will be held at The Cat House, 11556 D Ave. in Auburn. To contact The Cat House, call (530) 823-6828. Clinics are open from noon to 3 p.m. at each location. Microchips are a permanent form of pet identification and the Friends of Placer County Animal Shelter only uses microchips that are compatible with universal scanners found in veterinary clinics and shelters. The $25 fee includes the implant service and lifetime registration and proceeds benefit animals from Placer County Animal Services. ~Staff report
