PIG Bowl 2013 football scheduled for Jan 26

The 39th annual PIG Bowl Charity Football Game will be played Jan. 26 at Hornet Stadium, California State University Sacramento. PIG stands for Pride, Integrity, Guts.

The event between Guns (law enforcement, Hogs) and Hoses (firefighters, Dogs) is sponsored by Farmers Insurance Group. Proceeds benefit Firefighters Burn Institute, Mustard Seed School, Sacramento County Sheriff’s Toy Project, Volunteers In Victims Assistance, Wind Youth Services and Families in Early Autism Treatment.

A crab and shrimp feed prepared by Sheriffs Reserve Tom Jurin is scheduled for Jan. 12 at the Scottish Rite Center, 6151 H St., Sacramento. The evening opens with 5 p.m. no-host bar and dinner is at 6. Tickets are $50 presale and available at pigbowl.com/PayPal and Sacramento County Deputy Sheriff’s Association.

Sponsorships are Gold ($10,000), Silver ($5,000) and Bronze ($3,000) and all include full-page color advertising, game tickets, programs, sideline passes and more.
