William Jessup Warriors Classic What: William Jessup University Warriors Golf Classic Where: Timber Creek Golf Course,Roseville When: Friday, April 20, 11 a.m. Format: 4-Ball Scramble, Shotgun Start Cost: $175 per player William Jessup University will hold its 14th annual Warriors Golf Classic on Friday, April 20 at Timber Creek Golf Course. The four-ball scramble tournament benefits the William Jessup Athletic Department, which uses the proceeds for scholarships and its operating budget. The cost is $175, which includes lunch, dinner, green fees, cart, range balls, and raffle prizes. The top three teams win awards, and prizes will go to the longest drive, hole-in-one, putting contest, most accurate drive, and closest to the pin. Dinner only is $40. Currently the athletic department brings more than 150 student-athletes to study at the university where they are dedicated to excellence both on the playing surface and in the classroom. Registration and raffle begins at 11 a.m. followed by a putting contest and lunch at noon. Child Advocates Golf Classic What: Child Advocates of Placer County Golf Classic 2012 Where: Catta Verdera Country Club, Lincoln When: 10 a.m., May 4 Shotgun start: 11:30 a.m. Dinner and Auction: 5 p.m. Cost: $200/$50 dinner only Join former San Francisco 49er Dan Bunz and fromer Sacramento King Harold Pressley in the Child Advocates of Placer County Golf Classic 2012 to be held May 4, Catta Verdera Country Club in Lincoln. Registration and pre-tournament games begin at 10 a.m., with a shotgun-start tee-time of 11:30 a.m. The cost is $200 per player and includes games, prizes, box lunch, golf, plated dinner and auction. The charge for the 5 p.m. dinner without golf is $50. Great cause, great tournament and great company. GOP Tournament What: Placer County Republican Party Chairman’s Cup/GOP Golf Tournament Where: Morgan Creek Golf and Country Club, Roseville When: 8 a.m., May 4 Cost: $60 by April 26/$75 thereafter The Grand Old Party of Placer County is sponsoring its annual Chairman’s Cup/GOP Golf Tournament to be held May 4. The Morgan Creek Golf and Country Club is the location and begins 8 a.m. The cost to play is $60 per person for those signing up before April 26. The price goes up to $75 after that date. Saint Joseph Tournament What: Saint Joseph Parish, Lincoln 10th Annual Golf Tournament Fundraiser Where: Woodcreek Golf Club, Roseville When: 11 a.m., May 18 Cost: $160 per player/$600 per foursome Saint Joseph Parish in Lincoln will host its 10th annual golf tournament May 18 to benefit the building of the church. The event will be held at Woodcreek Golf Club, 5880 Woodcreek Oaks Blvd. Roseville. Father Eric Lofgren is honorary chairman and invites all to participate in this fun-filled event. Registration starts at 11 a.m. and tee off is a shotgun start scheduled for 1 p.m. The format is four-ball scramble with awards for men, women, and mixed groups. The cost is $160 for a single player, or $600 per foursome. This includes green fees, range balls, prizes (special hole-in-one prize) and the post-tournament dinner.
