Rocklin Police arrested a man who they believe is connected to an armed robbery at the 7-Eleven on Sunset Boulevard Sept. 11. The robbery occurred about 2:50 a.m. Sept. 11 when the 7-Eleven was robbed by three suspects. One of the suspects used a handgun during the alleged robbery. On Sept. 16, Rocklin detectives searched a residence near the 7-Eleven. During the search, detectives located evidence of the armed robbery. Manuel Epigmenio Rosario, 18, of Rocklin was arrested. Two male juveniles were also arrested on robbery charges. They are currently in custody at Placer County Juvenile Hall. “If it wasn’t for good old-fashion leg work and quick action taken by our detectives, the evidence and the suspects in this robbery might have slipped away without being identified,” said Rocklin Police Sgt. Scott Horrillo. Rosario was booked into the Placer County Jail on charges of kidnapping, robbery and possession of a dangerous weapon. He is being held on $200,000 bail. ~Staff report
