David Alan Foster, a resident of Sacramento, was arrested Jan. 25 by Rocklin Police. Foster is the primary suspect in the December burglary of an El Don Estates residence. According to Rocklin Police Lt. Terry Roide, officers and CSI technicians processed the residence after the burglary was reported. They collected several items of physical evidence, which CSI technicians conclusively tied to Foster, Lt. Roide stated. “Based on probable cause obtained through the physical evidence and follow-up investigation,” he said, “Rocklin detectives obtained an arrest warrant for David Alan Foster for charges of burglary.” Foster is being held in Placer County Jail on $30,000 bail. He also had an outstanding warrant for violation of probation in Plumas County. In the past 120 days, Lt. Roide added, residential burglaries have increased in the South Placer region. In an effort to reduce this type of crime, law enforcement officials are reminding residents to lock all doors and windows and to maintain adequate exterior and interior lighting. Residents are also urged to call Rocklin Police to report any suspicious activity or individuals in their neighborhoods.
