Illusion Smoke Shop, located at 5514 Pacific St., was burglarized just after 5 a.m. Approximately $1,000 worth of currency and tobacco products were stolen after suspects gained entry through the sheetrock wall from the empty business next door.
An alarm did activate and officers responded.
Video surveillance showed two hooded suspects enter the business through the wall and steal items. No suspects at this time.
Steve F. Wyatt, 54, of Roseville, was arrested on suspicion of being under the influence of drugs at 9 p.m. in the 4600 block of Rocklin Road. Wyatt was a passenger in a vehicle stopped by Rocklin officers for a traffic violation.
Sometime between 6 p.m. on July 20 and 4:15 a.m. on July 21, someone broke the rear side window of a vehicle parked in the 5100 block of Grove Street. Taken were a purse, wallet and credit cards. Estimated loss is $60.
A 19-year-old Roseville resident was cited for possession of less than an ounce of marijuana at 9:50 p.m. on Calverhall Way at Monument Springs Drive. Officers spotted a Toyota with two occupants parked at the end of a dead-end street. When they approached the vehicle, the officers reportedly smelled marijuana.
Sometime between 4 p.m. on July 18 and 9:30 a.m. on July 20, someone broke a window at Antelope Creek School. Estimated damage is $400.
Sometime between 1:30 p.m. and 3:30 p.m., someone took a laptop computer from the living room of a residence in the 5600 block of Glen Oaks Drive.
The resident reported a house key in a hidden location on the property was missing. Estimated loss is $850.
Sometime between noon and 12:30 p.m., someone smashed the window of a vehicle parked in the Rocklin Library lot. Taken were a purse, wallet, cell phone and credit card. Estimated loss is $200.
The glass on a vehicle parked at Lonetree Park was smashed sometime between 11:30 a.m. and noon. Taken were a purse, wallet, credit cards, cash, keys, checkbook and a driver’s license. Estimated loss is $697. The reporting party observed a white male with brown hair wearing a blue dress shirt and tie and driving a black Scion TC in the area at the time of the crime.
A 29-year-old Lincoln man was cited for petty theft and resisting arrest at 9:30 a.m. at a Sunset Boulevard store. The man apparently attempted to take five boxes of cereal, milk and mushrooms without paying. Value of the items stolen estimated at $30.
An unlocked vehicle parked in the 6500 block of Hearthstone Circle was burglarized sometime between 4 p.m. on July 16 and 7 a.m. on July 17. Taken were a GPS unit, a portable DVD player, power converter, IPod, prescription sunglasses and several children’s DVDs.
Estimated loss is $1,065.
Someone took advantage of a partially opened window to access a vehicle parked in the 2000 block of Cassia Way sometime between 1:30 and 11:10 a.m. A CD stereo unit was pulled from the dashboard. Estimated damage $200.
Five trucks parked behind a business in the 4400 block of Yankee Jim Road were broken into and miscellaneous tools were taken sometime between 3 p.m. on July 16 and 6:30 a.m. on July 18. Estimated loss is $4,000. Estimated damage to the trucks is $900.
Sometime during the night, an individual entered the side door of a garage at a residence in the 5300 block of Swinden Road and took a Kidarooz stroller trailer.
Estimated loss is $125.
The Rocklin Fire Department responded to 73 incident calls, primarily requests for medical attention last week. These were taken from the fire call report provided by the Rocklin Fire Department.
Firefighters responded to a brush fire on Greenbrae Road at Monument Spring Road at 5:40 p.m.
Units responded to a vehicle accident in the 6600 block of Lonetree Boulevard at 11:20 p.m. No one was injured.
Fire units responded to a vehicle accident on Lonetree at Blue Oaks at 2:40 p.m.
Fire units responded to a fire in the 5700 block of Byron Court at 2:40 p.m.
Firefighters assisted with a vehicle accident in the 2300 block of Clubhouse Drive at 1:50 p.m. No one was injured.
Fire units responded to a vehicle accident on Stanford Ranch Road at 5 p.m. No one was injured.
Units assisted with a fire at the rear of a nursery in the 2600 block of Sunset Boulevard.
