The 10th annual Run Rocklin will be held April 7. This popular event helps raise funds for the Mark Redding Scholarship Foundation benefiting local schools.

Last year, 2,546 runners turned out raising $16,000 adding to the $64,000 raised over the past five years. Participation is limited to 3,000 runners/walkers, kids and adults so early registration is encouraged.

“We had another tremendous turnout last year, so I’m urging runners to reserve a spot and register early to ensure that they will be part of Run Rocklin this year,” race director Larry Osborne said. “Run Rocklin is a fun, competitive community event that runners of all abilities are able to participate in and enjoy. We also encourage people to walk and be a part of our festive atmosphere.”

Preregistration for adults is $34 ($39 race day), $20 18-and-under ($25 race day).

There is a Kids Fun Run and 1 Mile run that are free.

Run sponsorship at various levels is also available. Sponsorship includes name on Run Rocklin T-shirts and other advertising outlets.

Awards for top finishers and ribbons for those who complete the race will be presented, as well as prizes for the three schools that turn out the most runners. Teams of six or more are welcomed but must register by March 15 to be eligible for special team T-shirts.
