When the Placer County Fair comes to the Fairgrounds June 25-28, All American Speedway fans will be treated to not just one, but two exciting days of racing. On Saturday, June 27, the thunder of USAC Sprint cars returns to the 1/3-mile oval of the speedway. These winged rocket ships are the fastest things on four wheels and have been clocked at over 101mph on the backstretch just before they dive into Turn 3. Lincoln’s own Tony Hunt, along with the talented Swanson brothers, will tear it up once again as they battle the high banks and bump strips of the All American Speedway. Also on Saturday’s schedule will be the Ford Focus’. Then on Sunday, June 28th, it’s the soapy, sudsy, return of Enduro racing. We’ll turn on the waterspouts all around the track and then bring on the soap truck. When things are good and slippery, the crowd will count down the drivers and send them on their way for 100 laps of crash ‘em up, smash ‘em up racing. At the end of the first 100 laps, they’ll take a quick break and do it all over again, sending them 100 laps in the other direction. Police cars with lights and sirens blaring and all types of hysterically decorated cars, this is great family fun for kids of all ages. One thousand dollars is on the line. Fan gates will open at 5 p.m. and racing will begin at 6 p.m. both days. Fair admission will be: Adults (16-59) $7 Seniors (60 or Better) $5 Junior (6-15) $4 Kids 5 & under free Parking $5 Admittance into the Speedway will be just $5 more. The All American Speedway is located at 800 All American City Blvd. on The Placer County Fairgrounds in Roseville. For more info call 786-2025 or visit
