The U.S. death toll rose by at least 50 more lives this year when Hurricane Sandy hit eight states, causing $20 billion in damage.
It is sad to think how many people lost their homes, businesses and sentimental items when the flood rampaged through the cities, unexpected by so many people. There are going to be so many jobs lost, especially because one of the biggest city's transportation services for people has been flooded.
The only thing this flood has done is ruin lives and worsen our economy. I think it is time we raise money to help people out who have lost their home in this devastating flood.
