The recent articles concerning sexual abuse in the Boy Scouts system caught my attention. It is truly horrible that an organization so big would let this happen.
The sad thing is, this wasn't a one-time thing. I have been hearing stories of this for years. To prevent this, the Boy Scouts should have an in-depth background check on their leaders and make it mandatory for each pack to have a sexual abuse program to teach the children warning signs and have a safe adult to go to if sexual abuse has taken place.
