The Rocklin Public Safety Volunteers hit another milestone last week when they made their 8,000th Child ID kit.

Henry Sender, pictured here with mom Krista Sender getting digital fingerprints taken from Rocklin Police volunteer Jeannette Norman, was the recipient of the 8,000th kit.

The free kits, started in 2005, include the child’s name and picture, along with digital fingerprints, a hair sample, a chart for dental records and instructions for DNA collection. Volunteers are available to give out kits at any event that features children. Call (916) 435-8175 for details.
