Rocklin choir students hit the high note of success

-A +A
Rocklin High choir students have been singing their way to success. Six Rocklin High School choir students were recently accepted to the California All-State Honor Choir. Nine Rocklin High students auditioned in September and the majority were accepted to the state choir. The seven chosen students were given one month to learn selected music and the weekend before Thanksgiving, the students met up in Stockton with about 200 students from the region from more than 50 high schools. Within two and a half days, they rehearsed approximately 18 hours and preformed a concert at the University of the Pacific’s Faye Spanos Concert Hall. From there, six Rocklin High students were accepted to advance to the state level and will travel to San Jose in March to join and compete with high school vocalists from all over the state. Freshman Lauren Goette, senior Tony Sciscio, junior Jake Asaro, sophomore Angela Bassal, senior Connor Morgan and senior Annie Dick were chosen to compete at the state level in March. ~ Staff report
