Rocklin Community Theater presents 'Nunsense A-Men'

-A +A
“Nunsense” is a spoof about the misadventures of five nuns trying to manage a fundraiser. Sadly, the rest of the sisterhood died from botulism after eating vichyssoise prepared by Sister Julia, Child of God. Thus, the remaining nuns — ballet-loving Sister Leo, street-wise Sister Robert Anne, befuddled Sister Mary Amnesia, Mother Superior Sister Mary Regina, and mistress of the novices Sister Mary Hubert — stage a talent show to raise funds to bury their dearly departed. Winner of four Outer Critics Circle awards, including Best Off Broadway Musical in its original New York production, this international hit stars an all-male cast. Featured are Ryan Adame as Sister Robert Anne; Nicholas Anthony Adorno as Sister Mary Amnesia; Martin Lehman as Sister Mary Hubert; Brent Null as Reverend Mother Sister Mary Regina and James Shimp as Sister Mary Leo. Richanne Baldridge is the music and vocal director of the Rocklin production. Opening Aug. 19, show times will be 7:30 p.m.on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays through Aug. 28. Matinees will be presented at 2 p.m. on Saturdays at Finn Hall, 4090 Rocklin Road. Tickets can be purchased online at ~ Staff report
