Rocklin Friends of the Library seek book donations

-A +A

Recent budget cuts have reduced funding for all Placer County libraries. Reduced funding means fewer new books can be purchased. The Rocklin Friends of the Library want to continue to purchase new books for the library, but needs the community’s help.

Book donations have been down. The Friends need gently used books for the in-library bookstore. The books are sold and the money raised is used to purchase new materials and continue programs for the Rocklin Library.

The community can also support the library by shopping in the bookstore, making a cash donation or becoming a member. You can honor or remember your friends and loved ones through the Rocklin Friends of the Library. Your gift is a lasting legacy, creating library programs, acquisitions and memories.

Drop off books at the front entrance to the library in the drop box. To purchase books, the bookstore is to the right of the library entrance. Membership and donation forms can be found in the bookstore. Donations made by the end of the year are tax-deductible for 2012.

Don't miss the Holiday Book Sale, Nov. 16-Dec. 27. The in-library bookstore will have holiday books and books that would make great gifts. The selection will vary.

The Rocklin Friends of the Library encourages anyone interested in learning more to attend a meeting. Meetings are held at 10 a.m. the first Tuesday of every month in the Community Room at the Rocklin Library.

The Rocklin Friends of the Library appreciate the support of the community.
