Rocklin groups help kids in need

-A +A
Once again this year, The South Placer Rotary Club of Rocklin, The Rocklin Fire Department, and Rocklin Unified School District are cooperating to bring warm coats, toys, and gifts to area families. Santa Claus has requested help to distribute clothing, toys, and gift cards to families that would not otherwise have the means to celebrate this holiday season. The South Placer Rotary Club – Rocklin started their annual Christmas Basket Program in 2005 and the program has grown every year. Families in need of assistance are identified by Rocklin schools and the shopping and giving follows. This year, “Toys for Tots” boxes have been placed at each of the three Rocklin Fire Stations (Rocklin Road, Crest, and Wildcat) and the community is asked to help by dropping off new/unwrapped toys and children’s coats. The Rotary Club will wrap and distribute all the presents between Dec. 15-23. Please help local area families celebrate the holidays with gifts of warm coats and toys.
