Section 11 did not go 0-for-5 in the opening round of the Northern California Division 2 tournament. The Rocklin Little League Junior All-Stars prevented the shutout with an easy win Sunday night. Rocklin pounded Chowchilla 18-1 at American River College in Carmichael, erupting for 11 runs in the fifth inning to end the game on the 10-run rule. Rocklin faces Hollister at 8 p.m. Tuesday. Rocklin manager Jon Murray said Chowchilla tossed in the towel after trailing 7-1 by trying to save its pitchers. Murray had already accomplished that with his team. Griffin Harrell got the start, pitched two innings and left with a 3-0 lead. Josh Little then worked two innings, and Sam Curtis relieved in the fifth. Harrell also provided ample offense for Rocklin by going 4-for-5 with five RBI. Chandler Roselli added three hits and two RBI. Devon Murray had two hits and drove in three runs.
