See’s Candy is being sold by members of the Rocklin Kiwanis Club from now through Christmas Eve. Volunteers work out of a trailer at the corner of Sunset Boulevard and Park Drive, in front of the Rocklin Walgreen’s. The holiday store will be open from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. until Dec. 21 at which time the closing hour will be extended to 9 p.m. They will close at 6 p.m. on Dec. 24. This is the third year the local service club has operated a See’s outlet to raise money for its many service projects, mostly for youth. Serving as co-chairmen are Kiwanians Tom Kubicko and Gene Johnson. Sales totalled more than $2,000 in the first five days the store was open. “Sales will increase significantly as we get closer to Christmas,” Kubicko said. The store’s inventory includes most everything available at regular See’s outlets, and at the same prices. “And we have very short lines,” Kubicko said. ~ Staff report
