Rocklin Little League wasn’t getting much notoriety after Tri-City and Lincoln Little Leagues swept District 11’s four tournaments. But that was partly because Rocklin Little League is the only league in District 11 that has a seniors team; therefore, there was not a seniors District 11 tournament. So the club went straight to the Section 4 tournament and shut out their first two opponents. They defeated Cosumnes River 13-0, and topped College Glen 12-0. After dispatching Antelope 22-5 in their first meeting; they met again in the championship game, July 20. That game ended 10-0. They are now in Stockton for the Division II tournament. It was reported the bracket could be found at http://www.d811.org/. In two games at the divisional level they defeated Mission San Jose, 12-2, Saturday, then took out Turlock 14-4 on Sunday. They were scheduled to go against Sunnyvale Little League in a semifinal contest. E-mail Placer Herald Sports at jiml@goldcountrymedia.com
