Rocklin police arrest drunk driver for felony DUI

At approximately 3:38 p.m. on Dec. 29, Rocklin Police officers responded to a call of an injury traffic collision on Pacific Street near Sunset Boulevard. Upon arrival, officers determined one vehicle had rear-ended another vehicle. The driver who appeared to have caused the collision displayed symptoms of alcohol intoxication. The driver of the second vehicle was transported to Sutter Roseville Medical Center via AMR for a possible broken arm and a complaint of pain. The driver who caused the collision was arrested for Felony Driving Under the Influence due to the fact that she caused injuries to the other driver. Arrested was Renee Francis Schultz, 56, of Rocklin. She was booked into Placer County Jail and has since been bailed out. Rocklin Police Department arrests for DUI are up 14 percent this year.
