Rocklin Postnet launches drive for military families
Rocklin Postnet launches drive for military families Through July 5, PostNet CA149 at Safeway Rock Creek Plaza in Rocklin is gathering donations for the Fisher House in a collection box on the store counter. Customers are encouraged to contribute spare change and other donations. Fisher House donates “comfort homes” built on the grounds of major military and VA medical centers. Because members of the military and their families are stationed worldwide and must often travel great distances for specialized medical care, these homes enable family members to stay close to loved ones free of charge during these difficult times. “Fisher House provides peace of mind for military families because they’re just minutes away during treatment of rehabilitation,” said Al Huffman, owner of PostNet. “We’re proud to support Fisher House and we’re confident that PostNet customers will recognize the value of their mission and contribute to their efforts to help our military families.” After July 5, PostNet locations across the country will pool together the donations collected and make one contribution to Fisher House. The Rocklin PostNet is open from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Friday. Call 772-7766 or go to postnet.com/ca149 for more information.
