The Rocklin Wave Swim Team has partnered with the city of Rocklin to offer a swim and water polo program this summer. A city budget shortfall prompted the move. The swim lessons will be offered at both the Rocklin and Whitney high school pools. The Whitney High pool is where the Thundercats will hold water polo clinics. Interested parties are encouraged to visit for more information. ?The ability to swim is a life skill that every child needs to have,? said Wave Aquatics Director Ryan Jones city the number of deaths that occur each year from drowning. ?Being able to continue the work that the City of Rocklin, Lorrie Fisher, and those before her have started is a huge responsibility but one I think the community will benefit from. We need to do our part to help ensure the safety of the children and teenagers of Rocklin,? Jones added. Jones went on to say the partnership was to benefit the children of the Rocklin community and the Wave organization was proud to do its part.
