Romero runs to Late Model win at All American Speedway

Jason Romero of Cameron Park was the winner in the main event, as he won the 47-lap Late Model race Saturday night at Roseville’s All American Speedway. In a race that ended under a yellow caution flag, Romero took the lead midway through after jockeying back and forth with John Moore of Granite Bay, and never let up. The victory is Romero’s fourth of the season and increases his advantage over Moore in the points race, as Moore moved into second position with the runner-up finish. Roseville’s hometown driver, Shannon Mansch, ran a strong race to finish third, and delivered the fastest lap time of the night in lap 12. Orangevale’s Gary Glenn crossed fourth. Mickey Owens drove his No. 8 card to his second win in two weeks in capturing the flag in the Street Stocks event. Christopher Lambert was second, with Casey Cavender third and Mickey’s brother Kevin Owens in fourth position. The Bombers feature went to Todd Clapham, with Roseville’s Richard Perez second and Adam Chapman of Citrus Heights third.
