William Jessup University freshman Elli Tremblay was selected as the California Pacific Conference women’s soccer defensive player of the week for October 12-19. Just last spring, Tremblay was the leader of a stout defensive effort for the Roseville High girls soccer team that reached the Sac-Joaquin Section title game. Tremblay contributed a strong effort on defense in the Warriors’ 1-0-1 week. WJU tied Menlo College 1-1 on Tuesday in Roseville and won 2-0 over Holy Names University on Saturday in Oakland. The Warriors continue their 2009 conference schedule next Wednesday as they take on Simpson University in Roseville.
