Rocklin Unified School District is encouraging the community to share their thoughts on educational cuts.
Parents, students, teachers and staff are invited to attend the second of four community forums regarding the Rocklin school district’s budget cuts, which may lead to layoffs, program cuts, classes increasing in size and a number of other options.
At the first forum, held Tuesday, Feb. 17, approximately 50 members of the community attended, with all five board members, district staff and Superintendent Kevin Brown available to answer questions.
Brown and board members encourage people to give feedback on priorities for the district.
Forums will be held from 6:30-8 p.m.:
* Thursday, Feb. 19 at Spring View Middle School multi room, 5040 5th St.
* Tuesday, Feb. 24 at Rocklin High School cafeteria, 5301 Victory Lane
* Thursday, Feb. 26 at Whitney High School cafeteria, 701 Wildcat Blvd.
