Once again this year Santa Claus has requested the assistance of the Rocklin firefighters in escorting him through the local non-gated neighborhoods of Rocklin to visit children of all ages. Santa rides atop a fire engine and his helpers pass out candy to all the good boys and girls. This excursion is planned from 6-8 p.m. Dec. 1-11, Monday through Thursday (weather permitting). Santa has so many houses to visit that he will be unable to stop at each one, but he can’t wait to see the smiling faces. Since he will be traveling in a very large fire engine, it will be important that families remain on the sidewalk and not try to approach the vehicle. Also, please leave pets in the house so as not to frighten Santa’s helpers. It is Santa’s intention to visit the southern half of Rocklin on Dec. 1-4, and the northern half of Rocklin Dec. 8-11. Occasionally inclement weather prevents Santa from making his scheduled rounds, but be assured that if he is rained out, he will make every attempt to reschedule for the nights of Dec. 15-16.
