You voted, we tallied and the results for the 2010 Best of the Best are here. Hundreds of votes were cast for categories such as best dentist, best ice cream/yogurt shop, best nonprofit organization, best nail salon and more. With almost 100 categories, approximately 80 businesses, professionals and facilities throughout Rocklin were named the best in the community by you – the readers. This year Rubino’s Ristorante was named the “best” in seven different categories including best Italian restaurant, best restaurant and best customer service. You’ll see their restaurant featured on the cover of the Best of the Best insert in today’s Placer Herald, as well as a story inside to get a glimpse into what makes them so successful. For the complete list of winners, features and photos, check out the 2010 Best of the Best, which is inserted in today’s paper. City named the best Speaking of the best – the city of Rocklin was recently named one of the best cities to live in by Money magazine. They took a look at schools, low crime rates and other issues and Rocklin came in No. 65 on the list of 100 cities across the country. On A1’s story, you’ll see why some residents agree that Rocklin is a great place to live. I see the pride people have for living in Rocklin all the time. Attending school board meetings, it’s obvious parents, students, teachers and trustees are so passionate about education here. I’ve heard countless times about people who have moved to Rocklin specifically for the great education. Driving around Rocklin, the parks are filled with kids cooling off at the water parks, residents taking their dog for a walk and teens playing baseball.
