Rocklin Kiwanis rang in St. Patrick's Day with the 18th annual Corned Beef & Cabbage Dinner at the Community Center Saturday.

"We're raising money to provide scholarships for needy students here in Rocklin, as well as for seniors," explained Master of Ceremonies Ron Harder.

Club President Lydia Khachadourian said Kiwanis Clubs from around the region come out to show their support at the Rocklin club's event. The party included musical entertainment, beer and wine, silent auction, dessert raffle and the traditional Irish feast served by members of Rocklin and Whitney high school Key Clubs.

"It’s a lot of fun and people are so excited about this day," Khachadourian said. "It’s basically our signature event."
