Sheriff’s searching for armed robber

Detectives are searching for a man they believe is connected to at least one armed robbery attempt.

An armed robber entered the Kings Beach Liquor store at 8645 N. Lake Blvd., at 9:09 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 30 in an apparent attempt to rob the store. The suspect, who was wearing dark clothes and concealed everything but his eyes, did not complete the robbery and fled on foot. He is described as approximately 6 feet tall and weighs about 180 pounds.

The weapon is believed to be a handgun, possibly a revolver. This crime may be related to a similar robbery on Wednesday, Jan. 2 in Incline Village. The Placer County Sheriff’s Office is working with the Washoe County Sheriff’s Office and the investigation is ongoing.
