Sierra College Foundation to savor its 5th annual A Taste of Excellence event

Gala will feature regional restaurants and wineries to raise money for Sierra College students, programs

Sierra College Foundation will present its fifth annual A Taste of Excellence, a food- and wine-tasting event featuring regional restaurants and wineries, as well as live and silent auctions. The gala will take place on Saturday, April 25, at a new location – the Sierra College Rocklin campus. Proceeds from the event will go toward the most needed areas within Sierra College, such as scholarships and programs. For the second consecutive year, Wells Fargo will be the Presenting Sponsor of the 2009 event, which was attended by more than 450 people last year. Since its inauguration in 2005, this annual affair has raised more than $600,000. The magic-themed occasion starts at 6 p.m. with food and wine tasting from more than 40 local restaurants and wineries. Some of the night’s auction items include trips to Cape Town, South Africa; Nuevo Vallarta, Mexico; and Cabo San Lucas, Mexico.
