Golf and obstacle scramble

GOLF What: Fighting Zebras Golf Classic Who: Lincoln High Schools Booster Club When: Friday, Sept. 28, 12:30 p.m. Where: Turkey Creek Golf Club Benefit: Lincoln High Athletics and Clubs The Lincoln High School Boosters Club will hold it’s Fighting Zebras Golf Classic tournament at Turkey Creek Golf Club Sept. 28. The cost is $125 per player and benefits Lincoln High athletics and clubs. Sponsors are also needed to help support this event. Registration the day of the tournament begins at 11 a.m. with a shotgun start scheduled for 12:30 p.m. There will be a putting contest and prizes for longest drive and closest-to-the-pin. OBSTACLE COURSE What: Great Auburn Scramble Who: Auburn Recreation District/Umpqua Banks When: Saturday, Sept. 29 Where: Regional Park Benefit: Youth Assistance Fund AUBURN _ Umpqua Bank has joined with the Auburn Recreation District to sponsor its Great Auburn Scramble Obstacle Course Race scheduled for Sept. 29 at Regional Park. The event is for anyone 8 years or older. The race is a mixture of running and obstacle course with both manmade and natural barriers to negotiate. Proceeds from this fundraiser helps support the park and benefits the Youth Assistance Fund. “We greatly appreciate the support of Umpqua Bank as one of our premier sponsors,” said Sheryl Petersen, ARD’s recreation services manager. “We are seeking additional organizations and individuals interested in sponsoring an obstacle, as well as people who want to volunteer for the event. GOLF What: Gala and Golf Tournament Who: ADJA Disk Jockeys When: Monday, Oct. 22 Where: Granite Bay County Club Benefit: Shriners Hospital for Children This is an excellent opportunity to play the prestigious Granite Bay Country Club and contribute to a most worthy cause – Shriners Hospital for Children. The tournament is $125 and includes golf, cart, lunch, dinner, and prizes. The tournament format features both scramble and best ball depending on golfer’s choice. Play is limited to 144 players.
