Spring Band Concert at Sierra College

Wind Ensemble, Wind Symphony take the stage May 15

The Sierra College Music Department will present a Spring Band Concert at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday, May 15, in Dietrich Theatre, 5000 Rocklin Road.

Join Greg McLaughlin and the Sierra College Wind Ensemble and Wind Symphony as they present an evening of standard and contemporary symphonic music that celebrates the rich history of the American band idiom. Works to be performed include “Suite of Old American Dances” by Robert Russell Bennett, “King Cotton” by John Philip Sousa,

Frank Ticheli’s arrangement of “Shenandoah” and Daniel Kallman’s “A Visit With Old Joe.”

Admission is $6 student/senior and $10 general. Tickets are available at the door. All proceeds benefit the Sierra College Music Department. There is a $3 parking fee on campus.
