Student artists take home awards

Students from Rocklin and Whitney high schools earned awards recently for their art shown at the Roseville Arts’ 29th annual High School Student Show at the Blue Line Gallery. Included in the winners were three Rocklin students; third-place winner Ryan Mansfield of Whitney High School, an honorable mention to Ami Dodge also of Whitney High School and an honorable mention to Ye Won Ki of Rocklin High School. Art teachers from high schools in Granite Bay, Lincoln, Loomis, Rocklin and Roseville were invited to submit a select number of pieces from the thousands of students who participate in their art classes. To view the students’ works, the High School Student Show will run through April 30 at the Blue Line Gallery, 405 Vernon St. Ste. 100 in Roseville. The gallery hours are 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Tuesday through Saturday and open until 9 p.m. on the third Saturday of the month. The cost is free and artwork is for sale. ~ Staff report
