United Methodist Church’s
annual food bazaar will be held from 10:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. at Del Oro High School, 3301 Taylor Road. Menu includes teriyaki chicken and chow mein as well as an array of pastries. A special demonstration of the Japanese tea ceremony will be presented at 1, 2 and 3 p.m.
South Placer Republican Women Federated will meet for lunch at Sierra View Country Club, 105 Alta Vista Ave. in Roseville. Registration opens at 11:30 a.m. Lunch served at noon. Guest speaker will be Micah Grant, communications consultant for the California Republican Party. Cost is $20 per person.
Silver Screen Classic Movie Series will present “The Bachelor and the Bobby Soxer” at 1, 4 and 7:30 p.m. in the Beecher Room of the Auburn Library, 350 Nevada St. Free.
“Around the Clock,” a photojournalism exhibit featuring photos by residents and Press Tribune photographers during one 24-hour day in Roseville, will open at Blue Line Gallery, 405 Vernon St. Gallery open from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Tuesdays through Saturdays. Exhibit will continue through March 31.
Sunday, March 4
Pipe organ concert
at 2 p.m. at St. Luke’s Church, 124 Orange St. in Auburn. Featured organist will be Elaine Stehenson. Reception follows in parish hall. Proceeds will benefit the historical Wicks Organ Opus 1567 – 1936 and the Auburn Interfaith Food Closet. Free will offerings will be accepted.
Tribute to Vince Guaraldi, pianist and composer of music from the Peanuts movies, at 2 p.m. at Sherman Clay Pianos, 771 Pleasant Grove Blvd. Featured will be the Jim Martinez Trio with vocalist Laura Didier. Derrick Bang, author of books on Charles Schulz and Vince Guaraldi will open concert. Tickets are $20 for adults and $10 for children, under age 16. 804-8370.
Members of Wolf Creek Lodge and Unitarian Universalist Fellowship of Northern Nevada will give presentation on new Wolf Creek Lodge Senior Cohousing community in Grass Valley from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Sierra Foothills Unitarian Universalist Church, 190 Finley St. in Auburn.
