Thursday, Sept. 9 Mother goose story time will be held for preschool-aged children at 11:15 a.m. Thursdays at the Rocklin Library, 5460 Fifth St. Local artist, Megan Willis will be featured at the Fe Gallery, 1100 65th St., Sacramento through the month of September. Saturday, Sept. 11 A Chance for Bliss will hold an open house from noon to 5 p.m. Visitors will get a tour of the ranch and meet the animals, which include horses, dogs, barn cats, sheep, goats, geese, chickens, pot-bellied pigs and more. A Chance For Bliss Animal Sanctuary is located at 1865 Willow Brook Lane in Penryn. Several young performing groups from the Placer County area will be showing their talent at the Westfield Galleria from 2-8 p.m. Included will be the Childrens Chorus, Conservatory of Dance, Theatre Alive, Take Note Troupe, Placer County Youth Orchestra as well as other musical ensembles. This is an opportunity to see a variety of performing arts opportunities available for youth in Placer County. The Foothills Farmers Market will be held every Saturday through Oct. 30 at the Blue Oaks Town Center RC Willey parking lot, 6636 Lonetree Blvd. in Rocklin.
