Thunder soccer falls to 1-7-2

Rocklin High sports update
The Rocklin High School varsity boys soccer team had a devastating 4-0 loss at home against Granite Bay High School, Oct 21. The Thunder gave up two goals in the first and second halves. Oct. 19 – The Thunder’s match at Woodcreek High School started out well as Rocklin held a 1-0 halftime lead. Woodcreek came to play in the second half as the Thunder gave up three goals. Rocklin ended up losing 3-1. With one game remaining at Nevada Union, Wednesday, the Thunder’s season is almost over. Sierra Foothill League Soccer Standings 1. Granite Bay 8-0-1 2. Woodcreek 6-1-2 3. Roseville 4-5-1 4. Nevada Union 3-4-2 5. Del Oro 1-6-2 6. Rocklin 1-7-2 Volleyball Oct. 18 – The Rocklin varsity girls volleyball team continued its winning ways with a 3-1 victory at Del Oro High School. The Thunder won 25-15, 25-27, 25-20, 25-15. Senior Cailyn Prewitt led the team with 37 attacks and 16 kills, while senior Katelyn Ivy recorded 35 attacks and 12 kills. Junior Kallie Elder led Rocklin with 14 points 20 assists. Senior Sierra Ueltzen had a team-leading 13 digs in the victory. In a tie for first-place in the conference, the Thunder seems to be headed to the playoffs.
