Stand Up Placer received a generous donation of linens from Thunder Valley Casino Resort last week. Stand Up Placer, previously PEACE for Families, is a local nonprofit that provides comprehensive services to domestic and sexual violence victims. The agency reports that this donation will help offset costs and allow Stand Up Placer to allocate funds to their core services.

“We are excited to receive this donation from Thunder Valley Casino Resort,” shared Stand Up Placer Executive Director Michelle Coleman. “Survivors fleeing life-threatening violence often must leave everything behind. This donation of essential household goods will assist Placer County survivors who are in the process of rebuilding their lives.”

“We are thrilled to invest in our local community and are pleased that our linens can be of assistance to Stand Up Placer,” said C.J. Graham, general manager of Thunder Valley Casino Resort. “It is our sincere hope that this donation helps to keep families comfortable and warm this holiday season.”

Coleman invites the community to join Stand Up Placer in its efforts to thwart domestic violence and sexual assaults in Placer County by making a donation at

Stand Up Placer is a nonprofit organization dedicated to empowering survivors of domestic and sexual violence to heal from trauma and to create new lives of strength and self-sufficiency. The organization does this through a survivor-driven  network of services: a 24-hour crisis line, an emergency safe house, therapy and legal advocacy. We take pride in our community and engage and inspire Placer County residents to end the legacy of abuse.
