The Tri-City Little League Cardinals took it?s ?A? team into the District 11 Tournament of Champions title game and came away with a 3-1 victory over Rocklin?s ?A? team Yankees Tuesday night. Strong offensive play helped to reach the Major?s District 11 championship game. The path to the championship game, was forged with the most consistent scoring of any club in the tournament. Cardinals 12, Cubs 2 For the third-consecutive time, Tri-City?s ?A? squad managed to post a double-digit run difference to defeat Grass Valley?s ?A? team the Cubs in the semifinal game. The 12-2 win was sealed when Cardinal catcher Dominic Souto sent a 3-run-walk-off home run over the center-field fence. Cardinals 12, Angels 2 For their second-round match up, the Cardinals once again scored double-digit runs for a The 12-2 win over the Bear River Angels to take them a step closer to the championship.
