Monday morning Rocklin Police arrested two transients for alleged burglary thefts. Amar Deep Singh, 29, and 26-year-old Shaneel Satwar Lal were arrested for burglary, possession of burglary tools and conspiracy to commit a crime. Singh was also arrested in connection with two previous burglaries on Feb. 23 also in Rocklin. Rocklin Police responded to a vehicle burglary at 6:35 a.m. on Sunset Boulevard, where police found the front passenger door window and door lock broken on the victim’s vehicle. Drops of blood and a metal window punch that was believed to belong to the suspects were found inside the victim’s car. That morning a Rocklin Police Officer contacted two occupants of a vehicle she had seen leaving the parking lot of the burglary on Sunset Boulevard. Singh, the passenger of the vehicle, had a cut on his left hand that was bleeding. The driver, Lal, was found to have a metal window punch that was identical to the metal window punch that was found in the burglarized car. Rocklin Police Detectives learned that Singh and Lal were staying at a Motel 6 in Sacramento and Lal was on probation in Sacramento County. Detectives went to Singh and Lal’s motel room and conducted a probation search. As a result of the search, detectives found property that was stolen from a Sacramento County Sheriff’s deputy earlier in the morning in Elk Grove. Singh and Lal were both booked into the Placer County Jail. Singh is being held on $50,000 bail and Lal is being held on $40,000 bail. ~ Staff report
