Used book sale at Sierra College
Sierra College Friends of the Library will hold a used book sale from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Wednesday, April 10, on the second-floor foyer of the Learning Resource Center on the Rocklin campus, 5000 Rocklin Road.
Along with many bestselling titles, the sale is an opportunity to purchase some unusual and interesting books. Most hardbound books sell for $1 each and most paperbacks are five for $1, and there is a large selection from which to choose.
A group of volunteers, the “Friends” raise money for materials, equipment and services for the library through book sales, fundraising events and encouragement of gifts of all kinds to the library. Proceeds from the book sale will be used to support library programs and services. The Friends sponsor activities and events to promote awareness of the library's collections, resources and services to the college and the community.
Members of the community are invited to join the Friends of the Library. Annual membership dues entitle a Friend of the Library to receive a library card and use library services. Ask at the college library reference desk or circulation desk for an application.
Parking permits are required on campus and may be purchased for $3 at dispensers located throughout the parking lot. For more information, visit www.sierracollege.edu.
