Wee and Little Miss Placer County share season of giving with Placer County Children’s Emergency Shelter
By: Staff report
The Wee and Little Miss Placer County Ambassadors have teamed up with the Rocklin/Loomis Rotary to bring good cheer to the children of the Placer County Children’s Emergency Shelter. The Placer County Emergency Children’s Shelter located in North Auburn provides a short-term safe harbor for children and teens in crisis. The shelter provides services to more than 300 children a year. Last summer, six girls, ages 3-9, held a garage sale to raise funds to assist local charities. Last week, the Rocklin/Loomis Rotary matched their funds. On Sunday the two queens and their four ambassadors shopped at the Wal-Mart on Lead Hill Boulevard in Roseville to create care packages for the children to receive this holiday season and through out the year. “I think all kids deserve to have a happy holiday and I hope we can help them,” said Little Miss Placer County Kamryn Cendana of Rocklin.
