Go through a drive-thru other than In-N-Out this weekend. The 14th annual Drive-Thru Nativity at Seventh-day Adventist Church offers a chance to see nativity scenes while staying warm in the car. The family-friendly event features live animals and actors portraying the story of Jesus’ birth.

Stand Out Talent presents the musical comedy “Singin’ in the Rain,” which opens Friday. Grab your umbrella for this story of how the movie industry transitioned from silent pictures to “talkies.”

You better watch out ...

Roseville Coalition of Neighborhood Associations will host Santa in the Park Saturday and Sunday. The big fat man with the long white beard will hitch a ride on the Roseville Fire Department truck at 3:30 p.m. each day. Enjoy cookies, punch, music, carolers and crafts — and don’t forget to bring a donation for the Placer Food Bank.
