Whitney High’s freshmen football team won 28-0 at Colfax on Thursday night, scoring a touchdown in each quarter. J.R. Robinson ran in a touchdown in the first quarter and Brandon Monroe ran in the 2-point conversion. Monroe also had a 32-yard touchdown in the quarter that was called back because of a penalty. Robinson threw a touchdown pass to J.R. Day in the second quarter and Monroe ran in another conversion. Robinson threw a touchdown pass to Cody Moffet in the third quarter and Robinson ran in another touchdown in the fourth quarter. Whitney’s Walker Carpenter was solid on the ground in the fourth quarter and Robinson ran behind tackle Aaron Froidevaux on his touchdown run. Whitney’s Brock Jones had an impressive sack in the fourth quarter. Whitney will battle Bear River next Thursday night.
