The Whitney girls basketball team kept Mira Loma winless in the Capital Athletic League by defending their home court 65-36 Friday night.

With a 3-4 record, Whitney sits midway in the CAL standings and will take on two of the top three opponents in the coming weeks.

On Senior Night, Molly McConnell helped secure a win for the Wildcats, scoring 20 points in her final game at home.

Whitney burst out to a 16-0 run to start the game and never looked back. The win secured a sweep of the Matadors, who currently sit in last place.

Whitney will travel to Rio Americano Feb. 6. The Raiders defeated the Wildcats 61-34 in the third game of the CAL season.
