With an 11-1 win over visiting Casa Roble Saturday afternoon, the Whitney varsity baseball team kept their record untainted as the team improved to 4-0 on the season.

The all-around win began with Chris Schwarz on the mound to start the game for the Wildcats. The sidearm pitcher established control early, collecting every out of the first inning via the strikeout.

Whitney’s pitching was well protected by an explosive offense. The Wildcats’ offense has scored double-digit points in three of their games so far this year.

At the plate, PJ Floyd started off the game with a lead-off single. Two batters later, Trevor Abrams tripled in both Floyd and JR Robinson for a quick 2-0 lead.

By the time the first inning was over, the ‘Cats enjoyed a 4-0 advantage.

Jacob Erickson proved to be the hottest hitter of the afternoon going 3-for-4 with a run scored and four runs batted in.

Floyd, Robinson, and Abrams each scored a pair of runs. By drawing two base on balls and collecting a single, Aaron Winter managed to score three runs.
