William Jessup University softball players Emily Buhrkuhl and Mallory Blodgett were recently honored by the California Pacific Conference for their performance on the softball diamond for the week of Feb. 11-17.
Buhrkuhl was name Pitcher of the Week and Blodgett Player of the Week.
Buhrkuhl had two wins and no losses to show for her week. She pitched 13 innings and struck out seven batters as the Warriors swept doubleheaders from both Arizona Christian University and Southern Oregon.
In the same four-game span, Blodgett was 7-12 at the plate to drive in 10 runs. She hit a home run, two triples, two doubles and scored five times.
Buhrkuhl hails from Stockton and Blodgett is from Folsom.
