William Jessup to hold annual golf fundraiser April 20

ROSEVILLE _ William Jessup University will hold its 14th annual Warrior Golf Classic on Friday, April 20 at Timber Creek Golf Course. This four-ball scramble tournament benefits the William Jessup Athletic Department, which uses the proceeds for scholarships and its operating budget. The cost is $175 and includes lunch, dinner, green fees, cart, range balls, and raffle prizes. The top three teams win awards, and prizes will go to the longest drive, hole-in-one, putting contest, most accurate drive, and closest to the pin. Dinner only is $40. Registration and raffle begins at 11 a.m. followed by a putting contest and lunch at noon. Timber Creek GC is located at 7050 Del Webb Blvd in Roseville, CA. From 1990 to 2004, WJU athletics made 12 national tournament appearances and competed for four national titles. In 2005, the university joined the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) and has since made six national tournament appearances for a total of 17 national championship invitations. The athletic department brings more than 150 student-athletes to study at the university. The school is dedicated to excellence both on the playing surface and in the classroom. William Jessup University was founded in 1939. The University moved to Rocklin in August 2004. WJU is the first and only WASC accredited private four-year university to have its main campus located in the greater Sacramento area. The university offers degrees in business administration, family and children’s ministry, English, history, intercultural studies, liberal studies (teacher education), music, pastoral ministry, psychology, public policy and youth ministry. Anticipated majors include fields in the humanities and science. WJU also offers a School of Professional Studies (SPS) at its campuses in Rocklin and San Jose.
